in cooperation with
The Executive Committee of ISyDMA
&
Green Moroccan Fondation

The chairs and organizing committees of the ISyDMA’9 are pleased to announce that the International Symposium on Dielectric Materials and Applications (ISyDMA), 9th edition was hosted in Marrakech, Morocco during May 7–9, 2025.

The ISyDMA conference is an international event focused on recent developments in dielectric materials and their applications. It is aimed at PhD students, post-docs, researchers, and engineers from public and private research organizations concerned with innovations in advanced dielectric materials for biomedical, biotechnological, and industrial applications. This conference is aimed at materials specialists, physicists, chemists, biologists, and engineers engaged in fundamental and applied research on dielectric materials and their innovative applications.

ISyDMA is open to a large scientific community since it brings together between 150 and 200 researchers and industrialists of 25 to 30 different nationalities. This is the 9th edition, the previous having taken place in various locations around the world.

ISyDMA’9 will be organized as conferences, oral communications, and poster sessions. Oral presentations will be grouped by thematic session beginning with invited lectures proposed by the scientific committee or chosen among the submitted papers. The works presented during the meeting will be published in the Conference Proceedings by Springer Nature.

Due to the success of previous pre-conference schools, we proudly present our call for the ISyDMA’9 Pre-Conference: the Fourth International School on Advanced Materials (InSAM’4), which will be held from 5 to 6 May 2025 at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Benguerir, Morocco. The scope of this Summer School is to familiarize students with the state of the art in advanced materials for different applications.

In addition to the scientific program of these two events, the attendees will have a chance to discover the beauty of Marrakech, located in the heart of Morocco. Marrakesh is a vibrant city full of culture and history, well-known for its awe-inspiring Koutoubia Mosque and lively Djemaa el Fna square.

The social program will be extraordinary, reflecting the Moroccan sense of hospitality and generosity combined with fun, for the participants and their companions.

Finally, we are pleased to inform you that the International Symposium on Dielectric Materials and Applications will be changing its name. Moving forward, it will be known since the tenth edition of ISyDMA (2026) as the International Symposium on Devices, Materials and their Applications (ISyDMA). This new name better reflects the broader range of topics and objectives of the symposium, encompassing various devices, materials, and their diverse applications. Thank you for noting this update, and please feel free to reach out with any questions.

We look forward to seeing you in Marrakech, Morocco.

The opening day of the 9th International Symposium on Dielectric Materials and Application (ISyDMA'9) congress in Marrakech is dedicated to recognizing and honoring the achievements of both national and international women in science and research. This event provides a unique platform to celebrate the invaluable contributions of women who have excelled in their fields and broken new ground in scientific inquiry and innovation.

The day will be marked by a series of inspiring talks, panel discussions, and interactive sessions led by esteemed intellectual women from diverse backgrounds. These women, who are pioneers in various scientific domains, will share their experiences, challenges, and success stories. The event will highlight their relentless efforts in advancing research and their role in fostering innovation, driving societal progress, and promoting scientific excellence globally.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with leading female scientists, researchers, and academicians, gaining insights into their groundbreaking work and the impact they have had in their respective fields. By showcasing these role models, the congress aims to inspire the next generation of female scientists and encourage young women to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

The opening day will also feature an award ceremony recognizing outstanding women researchers who have made significant contributions to the field of dielectric materials and applications. These awards are a testament to their dedication, hard work, and the pivotal role they play in advancing knowledge and shaping the future of science.

Through this initiative, ISyDMA'9 aims to underscore the importance of diversity and inclusion in scientific research and to create a more equitable and inspiring environment for women in science, both today and for generations to come.
